The Codat Support team may advise that your end-user install extensions from the package file for Microsoft Dynamics 365. This is useful if the automatic update fails and we don't know why.
Problem
You may notice that the syncs that you have queued for your company with the Dynamics 365 integration are not pulling data and you are receiving sync error alerts (i.e FetchError).
When this happens, it is likely that the issue is caused by an outdated version of extensions. Microsoft doesn't specify to Codat why you cant install it, but the following steps can help ensure the extensions are up-to-date.
The Codat support team can share the latest package as a file, and you will need to ask your end-user to install the package in their Dynamics 365 instance.
Resolution
To manually install the extension:
- Click on the search button.
- Go to Extension Management.
- Next, go to Manage → Upload Extension.
-
Select .app file and check the “Accept” toggle.
-
Click deploy.
- Go to Manage → Deployment Status
- Wait for a package to install, make sure the status is
Completed
- If the status fails, you can click on
App Link
to view the error message
