Updating external authorization for your Sage Intacct company lets the Sage Intacct customer support team and/or your reseller partner get access to resolve questions and issues with your company. This is applicable to production, implementation and sandbox environments.
Audience
This guide is for anyone with access to the Sage Intacct Admin settings who can enable external authorization to the Sage Intacct support team.
Pre-requisites
You will need admin rights in Sage Intacct to enable this feature.
Update external authorizations for Sage Intacct
We may need you to turn this feature on if accounting data isn't being returned to the API from Sage Intacct. Looking at the environment and set up will help the Codat support team and the Sage Intacct support team find a quicker resolution.
To set this up, you will need to do the following:
- Click Applications > Company > Admin.
- Under users, roles & groups, you'll see 'External authorization' (you'll need to have the right user type access to see this).
- Next, you'll see a line item called 'Customer Support', click on 'Edit'.
- Change access from 'disabled' to 'enabled'.
- Finally, click 'save' on the top right.
