A known problem that users can encounter is when they are unable to find their company in the drop down menu. In order to rectify this issue your client should follow the steps outlined below.
1. Once the connector is installed the connector will be seen. The connector will allow you to sync your data for the company you want.
2. Usually you would select the Sage 50 company from the list of companies, but if your company data is being stored in a different place to usual you will not see your company listed. In this case I am looking for my company called 'Bob's Burgers.
3. Log into your Sage 50 application and select the company that you would like to sync data for. In this example I want to sync data for 'Bob's Burgers'. Then click on Help (1) and the About (2) section.
4. This will take you to the about section where you will then need to copy the data directory for this company.
5. Go back to the connector and paste your data directory into the data directory field. Please make sure to leave the company name field empty with "-- Select a company from the list --" still visible.
6. Please enter the username and password associated with this Sage 50 company before clicking on the link company and perform sync button.
7. A pop up with the details for this company will appear. If the data is correct please click on the confirm button.
8. Once this is done your sync will begin.
